Proposed Trip Along the Bellerive to Sorell Railway Line

Join us for an interesting walk along the best bits of the remaining track including some bits on private land.

The trip will start from Bellerive Station Pier. We shall meet at 9.15 am.

Participants can make up groups in cars. We shall travel in cars between the walking sections. We shall drive 6 sections and walk 6 sections. For three sections a driver will need to drive the car on, while others walk.

The walks vary between 1 and 3 kilometres. The walking is, of course, an easy gradient. The exception is where we walk over the top of the Tunnel, which is, briefly, steep.

You only need to walk the bits you want. You can walk as much or as little as you like. I expect everyone will want to visit the Tunnel, which can be reached by car, by special arrangement.

We shall have our picnic lunch at Shark Point around 1pm The trip will finish at Sorell around 3pm
